I'm after a nonfrills android box.needs to Have a USB in, and preferably have a Bluetooth remote (other ir ones interfere with the older tv) doesn't need games, emulators..Will be strictly used for Netflix catch up apps and tivimate

Have you checked your WiFi signal in the loft if it's low your speed wiil be slow ect

Ive just got a T95 Android 10.0 TV Box off Ebay for £30.
Comes with and IR remote but you can pick an airmouse remote up for £7 on ebay too

Im not to be honest mate, been used mainly for tivimate.

Most cheap devices have their downsides and that’s why I don’t by cheap devices.
Amazon device’s work great and have the licensing but I hate the UI, bloatware, forced updates and that’s the reasons I don’t own one.
I suppose the Firestick is the easy option for the OP.
