Is it worth putting video on CDs, as opposed to DVDs?
I always assumed that CDs could only take a short clip.
But then I saw an advert for episodes of the Sopranos on VCD which set me thinking maybe they'd take a full hour-long programme.
Can anyone give some sensible advice? Can VCDs be recorded on a bog standard CD writer? Will they play on any computer? Will they play on a DVD player in the living room?
Can I squeeze a movie onto two or three CDs? Now that would be very nice!
I can't afford a DVD recorder so any ideas gratefully received.
PS:
I have a cd writer and a dvd drive (read-only). I've seen ads for CD-video
