Cant log in

just bee to the old folks house and my dad has screwed his pc bless him.

Its windows xp and when you try to log in, it signs you straight back out again to the welcome screen

Ive tried going in thro safe mode and same thing happens

He said he did click a link about free virus and then it logged him out!

Can I get in anyway at all??

Never found a fix for it and luckily the guy who's pc it was just told me to format and reinstall xp as there was nothing he wanted to save!

depends on your make of pc, i had the same problem, my nephew got his paws on mine and my pc was transformed into a house brick. mines is a packard bell and they have a handy support page. i downloaded a very small program from their site (approx 1mb). it is in iso form so its bootable. burned it onto a cd, stuck it in and it worked. it re writes your boot up procedure in msconfig.
