can you mirror and iphone 5 to apple tv2

does anyone know wether you can mirror a iphone5 on ios6 to a jaibroken apple tv2

just bought the gta vice city app and though it would be cool if you could mirror it onto bigger screen



or can you do it with a apple tv 3 which isnt jailbroken

if you bring up the bottom bar menu and scroll across and click the circular arrow, then choose the name of your AppleTV and turn mirroring on.

You should then get your screen display and run the app.

Depends on which firmware you are using on your atv. I know 5.0.2 allows airplay mirroring.

Also make sure that you are connected to your wifi/Home network when doing so.

As far as I'm aware mirroring uses a standard Apple protocol so the ATV version shouldnt matter, obviously some apps stop you from Airplay and Mirroring

Absolutely correct jay! Could be that the GTA app does not allow it. I have used various video apps on jailbroken iDevices and many of them did not allow for mirroring. It still gives you the option to mirror but the result is the iDevice just pops back to the default iphone setting or disabling. Also check on the apple tv under settings to see if you might be able to access mirroring settings.
