i have just recieved this message

the DNS address on everyones lines will need to be edited to a new one as our DNS has been cut off from the provider

what does he mean the dns address on everyones lines need to be editied ?

will i have to do anything or is it something he has to do ?

your line will need edited as he forgot to update the dns account and lost the address
so you will need to change the first part of the line with the new one provided

ie

C:forgot-to-update.dyndns.biz 19000 user pass

to

C:wont-do-thatagain.dyndns.biz 19000 user pass

Some dns accouts were deleted few weeks ago as the dnd server ceased to be.
The account will need editing from
C:forgot-to-update.dyndns.biz 19000 user pass
to
C:forgot-to-update.noip.tv 19000 user pass

Its the ip address that will need changing.
