Hey all,

Just trying to get my head around CAMS, cards and programmers.

Can anyone explain to me the need for each of the above?

Why do u need a CAM if most boxes have card readers rather than CI slots?

Why would you need to program a card if you have bought one? or can you use OPUS / Atmegas / Funcards for things?

Example would be: I have a TM600 receiver and a USB Infinity Programmer - what's possible?

Cheers for any pointers

cards and cams are just ways to open 'more channels/packages'. atm the best cam is the diablo2 and probabaly the best card is the gamma. and the programmer to have is the cas3 interface, as it programs cards and cams.
but as you've got the tm600, get connected online for CS.

Hi

As above the best Cam, on the market is the Diablo2, there is a previous
Cam which is still being used and is still useful and thats the Diablo 2.3
and the 2.2. The Diablo has been around for quite a while now, for about
two years or so. The longest running Card is the Gamma card and has been
around for nearly three years now. There are other new cards about, which
have been around a few months or so, but as with all unofficial Cams\Cards
you never know how long they will last.

The Diablo 2 is a upgrade of the 2.3 Diablo Light. I have not got a
Wifi but i,m pretty sure that the Wifi still uses the 2.3 version.

Th last three Diablo,s are versions - 2.2, 2.3, and the newest is
Diablo 2. You would thought the ver would be 2.4.
