irst we had the leaks showing game art and detailing story plots, then we had an official trailer from the guys behind the game, and now we’ve got the first pre-order being available for what’s sure to be one of the biggest selling games of the year – Modern Warfare 3.

In a tweet to his 240 thousand followers today, Microsoft’s Larry (Major Nelson) Hryb shared a link to the first web site offering Modern Warfare 3 for pre-order, with Amazon offering the title for $59.99.

Offering the title for release on November 8th, the Amazon product page doesn’t currently give any other information about the eagerly waited sequel to the hugely successful Modern Warfare games.

nfinity Ward only releasing a vague trailer yesterday. No gameplay has been seen, and currently the only information we have has come by way of a leak.

The game is all set to take place in new locales and offer more of the breakneck battles we’ve all grown to expect from our Call of Duty games.

The game opens moments after the cliffhanger ending of Modern Warfare 2 with the U.S. struggling to stave off a surprise Russian attack. The single-player campaign will ping-pong players around the world as they take on the multiple throwaway roles as a Russian Federal Protective Services agent, SAS Operative, tank gunner, and AC-130 gunner as well as key characters from previous installments and new recurring characters. The game will feature about 15 missions, kicking off with the invasion of Manhattan by a Russian force and wrapping up with a final encounter in Dubai.

What’s certain is that the latest installment in the franchise is sure to continue to be a license to print money for all involved.

Have you pre-ordered yet?

Pre-order 5 months in advance. Ha Ha. Guess they are trying to get people to buy into the new franchise. Problem is that Infinity Ward are gone, so likelyhood is that the game will be poor!

Marketing at its best!

Yeah I thought infinity ward had left. Who's developing this one? Not treyarch?

Infinity Ward are still involved
They are 1 of 3 developers.

Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games, Raven Software
