I just had a letter from BT about their new chargecard prices.
I've had mine for years and it used to be useful when I was working away from home - I'd be able to use any phone (including payphones) and the call would be charged to my home account.
The letter says that, while reducing the cost of many BT chargecard calls, they are introducing a quarterly fee of £1.18. If you want to keep your existing chargecard package you have to phone them before August 1st.
To me this looks like a way of raking in a few £1.18's before anyone really notices.
