Was thinking of doing this. Part time at weekends. Was told you need to go through training. Thing is I have looked into different security companies, none offer training. Where and what training do you need

It's a government (initiative...quango) thing You now need, pay money to work , costs about £200 for the course I believe.

You should also check with the loacl authority where the club/pub is and what their requirements are, it will differ in England, Scotland, Ireland and probably Wales

Thankyou both. £200 for or the course is well worth the money. Ffs they have restrictions on this. Make you do a disclosure forms. Wtf is that about

Not a bad thing mate it stops thugs becoming bouncers. These guys have a tough job so people with a tolerant frame of mind is essential in my view.
