when i reboot it comes to a dos screen saying Microsoft Windows 98 and below that the c:/ command and nothing else.

wont start up the operating system, havent a clue why. Im hoping someone will have done this before or came across it.

Its a Pacard Bell xtreme.

when disc 4 is finished it says pop back in disc 1 then it finishes and says its going to reboot.

try this ,not saying this will fix it

Bootcfg commands:
bootcfg /list - displays the current situation
bootcfg /add - scans for, & optionally adds, XP, 2K, NT installations
bootcfg /rebuild - displays/adds the OSs located
bootcfg /scan - scans for, & displays, XP, 2K, NT installations
bootcfg /default - set the default OS to boot
bootcfg /redirect - enable the Headless Administration feature (redirection)
bootcfg /disableredirect - disable the Headless Administration feature (redirection)
