looking into buying a blu ray burner

whats the best one to have??

i would imagine blu-ray and HD are the same

please correct me if i'm wrong

i have a lite on one mate never had a problem but only ever burned the 25 gig discs

LiteOn iHBS112 was about £100 when i got the machine its in and now about £60 +

Thats not a bad price and it's even a pound cheaper than their website.

I wouldn't bother with 50gb discs at the moment, they've come down in price but are still expensive.

If you download a 50gb film you can use BDrebuilder to shrink it to fit on a 25gb disc (same way dvdshrink does with dvd's)

I tend to only write discs for other peeps though as my media player plays blu-ray ISO's with menu.

You can also get almost a full season of a tv show on 1 25gb disk in 720pHD format (looks a lot better than a DVD).
