Phone Unlocking Blocked Sim

Is it possible to unblock a locked sim card. The card was locked for using the wrong pin code. I've not got the neccessary details to give the provider to get a puc code. I've got various card readers/writers if they can be utilised. I just want to get my phone book back - not bothered about being able to reuse the sim.

The puk code is only on the sim your phone should work with another sim in unless its needs unlocking to all networks or its barrerd from a network which means you will have to switch to a diffrent network.
