CD & DVD Back up Original Games

im having trouble copying new games im using clone cd it says that it has done it and i can install games from the back up but when it comes to load up and play the game it asks me to insert the game into the CDROM drive and its already in there. <br />i have tried on slower settings i have tried on the fly i have made isos then copie'd on good media disks.

i have 2 machines with cd writers and both machines do the exact same thing ???

i used to be able to back up my old games ??? just wondering if you guys know whats going on !!!

Try useing discjuggular 3 never had a problem with it (i've done a fair few)

DiskJug is very good but rather comlicated when doing the settings stuff. Clone usually works OK. Try different settings. You may end up with a coaster or two but should get there in the end.

its probably the protection system on the new game thats the problem. your cd writer may not be able to write all of the protection information. best thing to do is find a crack for the game that allows you to play without cd.

yes m8 chameleon is right its the protection on the game i doubt u will be able to copy it, u need to get the crack m8

You have'nt said which game you tried to copy, but if clone cd can't copy it then nero certainly will. If you give us more details about which game you tried to back-up then we can give you more info regarding settings and you will have a better chance of success.<br />regards,<br />vat19

<img src="graemlins/EVIL.gif" border="0" alt="[EVIIL]" /> first of all check to see whether clone cd is fully compatible with your cdr? secondly clone will only make a perfect copy if certain settings are used i.e dont repair subchannel **settings im not sure of because my yamaha is not compatible with clone** but im sure some good other member will be more than pleased to help with the settings then u will be able to play youir 100% perfect copy <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> <br />me personally i prefer to copy them with a no cd crack in the cd helps mate too if they cant use clone aswell<br />hope this helps u out

When commercial cd's are made they can put info where burners can't so you may not be able to copy them. Also some older cd drives can't even read them properly. I had a game i bought that installed correctly but when i went to play it it asked for the cd to be inserted even though it was already there. To get it to run I had to put it in my other cd drive. ok i have nero and i need to know the settings for civ3, red alert2 (and i have yuris addon cd), harry potter, diablo2, and a few more i cant remember ???

also i can copy games on my old writter but it asks for the disks to be inserted (when trying to start game) even though i have installed it fully to the HD from the copy i made of the game ???
