Have been looking for an AV Receiver myself recently.

The Denon gives 95W/channel and the Onkyo gives 120W/channel...

personally, I'd put in a bit more and get a Dolby Atmos certified receiver to make sure you are future-proofed.

I narrowed mine down to the Denon AVRX2200W vs Pioneer VSX930. I've decided to get the Pioneer due to bang for buck, higher output per channel, features and pricing.

Also, it would be an idea to state which speakers you have and the usage (movies / gaming and if so, which genres) to make sure you can match the avr to your speakers.

I'm not a full on audiophile and high volume isn't an issue. The amp will be mainly for TV and movies , but as both amps have a zone feature I will be wiring it to my bathroom to make use of the Internet radio.

The speakers are 60w 8 ohm that were part of an old Sony davs system. I will be upgrading eventually but not in the near future.

Thanks
