Ambit 200 Problem

Hi i have an ambit 200 flashed with sigma x2 firmware i've changed the mac successfully but i'm having problems connecting to the net, when i plug in the feed all the checks complete apart from the last one which states OFFLINE the log reports this error

SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing

has anyone else had similar problems?
any help would be much appreciated.

further searching of the forums has indicated i have not specified the annex setting, i am currently ex CnW using annex_a on the 250's... in the haynes guide it specifies annex_3 for pure NTL areas only which i know doesn't include ex CnW.... once again any help would be appreciated.

not sure but annex a for ex ntl and annex b ex telewest
