Alarm/CCTV all in one systems

Anyone know much about decent wireless alarm systems ?, are they D.I.Y'ish ?.

Also are there any alarm + CCTV all-in-one systems ? Alert to phone all that. My son's moved but the back of the property is a bit suss so he wouldn't mind a camera back and front and an alarm all linked if possible
