A SECRET EU deal will open the door to an unlimited number of Indian immigrants, experts warn.
The agreement with Delhi would allow an unlimited number of foreign specialists to work in Britain, they claim.

And there would be no opportunity to offer roles to Brits first.

Think tank Migrationwatch UK last night called on the government to "come clean" on the deal, which is set to be signed next summer.

It also clashes with a Coalition vow to cap numbers of skilled non-EU migrants coming here.

Migrationwatch chief Sir Andrew Green said: "There is no point in a limit on economic migration if specialists from India are excluded by a separate agreement."

Under the deal being drawn up by Brussels, skilled Indian IT workers, engineers and managers can transfer to the UK and other EU nations. Western firms gain access to India in exchange.

Indian workers would be granted three-year visas to the UK, but not permanent citizenship.

The Government insisted the deal would be worth hundreds of millions of pounds in extra business to British firms.

A spokesman said: "The EU India Free Trade Agreement will benefit businesses trading with India.

"We will ensure any commitments will be consistent with the Government's commitment to reduce net migration."

Prime Minister David Cameron has vowed to cut migration from more than 200,000 a year to "tens of thousands".

But Home Secretary Theresa May's plans for a cap have sparked a feud with Lib Dem and Tory ministers, with opposition to it led by Business Secretary Vince Cable.

in other words british and other european companies are being encouraged to move to India where labour is cheap, keeping manufacturing costs down and the goods are then sold back in britain / europe for a hefty profit. The people of India get (low paid) jobs and a steady income but exploitation will be rife, in return we get Indian 'specialists' moving here to take up positions for less money than the equally (or better) skilled brits and at the end of the 3 year period dance a jig all the way back to India with a fortune in their pockets. Who's helping who's economy?.
