500HD or 800HD

Want to buy HD dreambox with hard drive, don't know whether to go for the 500 or 800.
Any advice appreciated.

I have the 800 jay and i cant fault it.dont see any reason to buy any other box as this does everything and more.

Am I right in thinking that the 800 can have internal drive but the 500 has to be external?

^ yeah thats correct, although the you wont be able to fit a hdd in some recent 800hd's that have a heatsink instead of a fan unless you cut the heatsink.

If you can, then get the 800HD se. Otherwise get the dm800HD pro. (with a fan, not a heatsink)

if its 800 then just go for the se as i have however cant comment on it as it has not arrived yet and also it will be my first sat box so have not had any hands on experience ,i dont even know where to go for CS stuff lol PM's on this are welcome

processor speed wise the DM500Hd is faster than the DM800hd. As stated it only works on external esata hdd though. If money allows go for the DM800se. Best of both worlds.
