500c rebooting

New box loads to service scan and freezes on 1 image
Loads to service scan and reboots in a loop on another
No power light on box ,Remote wont work
Tried erase then reimage still the same ................Paul

Have you tried re-flashing with Dreamup?

They were both with Dreamup
Refresh please ,wot options on dream up
Just incase ime selecting the wrong one
But images are changing
Wot is the erase option on dream up
It advises of deleting Bmon
Dident like the lok of that ...............Paul

Tried both options now
Its like its lost the bootloader
This is one of 3 came yesterday
First one Flashed exellant
second the same ,but Enthernet port is foo*ed and cant FTP
third one Wont load no power on front of box
But Red glowing Light from power into back of box ..............Paul

The one with no power light, check the ribbon cable to the front panel hasn't fell off. I had this with one I thought had died recently. You should be able to see through the slats in the top or hear it moving inside if it has.

flip the box upside down and look in the vents on the bottom is the PCB orange or green?

Spot on Fella ribbon was off
Attached it and all is well
Prob now is out of the 3 units 2 have no enthernet port connection
They have asked me to send back the Boards
Must be easier way
Can files be transferd via 232 cable
Or is it a case of back up and reflash a full image ,Thanx lads .......Paul

I'm pretty sure dreamup can flash solely using rs232. Takes around 25-30mins if i remember right.

You'll have to back up your full image and flash that to the 2 with the dodgy ethernet ports via dream up. It's normal for them to ask for just the main boards back. Problems will come if/when the encryption is updated and you have to move to cs you'll need those ethernet ports, but thats prob a couple of years away yet.
