2.81 Firmware! Why Damn It!

hey,

received the game from smirnoff today (thank-you to him).
now for the downgrading!

found this tut using google:

is this the right one for downgrade of a 2.81 psp?

also after step 3, does it fail to mention that i should then insert the mem card in to the psp?

Mem card should already be in at step one to update to 3.03. Format and restore default settings, but if you have anything you want to keep, stick them on harddrive before format.

OK.

So I successfully downgraded to 1.5 yesterday and then proceeded to install the custom firmware.

1. Firstly, I upgraded to 3.52 m33.
2. Then installed the 3.52 m33 custom firmware update 4.
3. 3.71 m33.
4. Then I installed the 3.71 m33 custom firmware update 3.
5. Finally, installed the 3.71 m33 custom firmware 1.50 Kernal Addon v2.

Phew!

So did I do that all correct? Am I now on the latest custom firmware?

Also, in System settings it says my firmware is 3.71 m33, shouldn't it say 3.71 m33 with kernal addon or something?

Is it worth getting

Also, I don't really get all these custom firmwares theres m33 and oe, etc whats the difference?

OE means open edition. M33 is another name for Dark_Alex who is a custom firmware developer. Your stick should be fine.

Check your PM with regards to homebrew and such.
