2.01 down/upgrade

Hi,

I've read loads on this and the stickies but I'm still a little confused.

I've got a PSP with fw 2.01. In need to downgrade the fw to 1.5 to play homebrew games etc, right?

Do I need to upgrade to 2.71 or such to do this?

Any suggestions where to get EU fw 2.71? The official PSP site appears to only allow the latest fw to be downloaded. Does it matter if its a version for EU, US or JAP?

have you got GTA for PSP, the unpatched version.

if so, update to 2.50 or 2.60 and use the downgrader in the sticky section.

Another method here _http://pspupdates.qj.net/2-0-2-01-Easy-Downgrader-Released-/pg/49/aid/65266 without need for GTA-LCS, or there's the upgrade to 2.71 and then downgrade to 1.50 as well somewhere.

upgrade to 2.5 2.6
and use downgrade in stickys
very easy to do.
i didnt have a clue until i got help
from forum.
ive now done 3 of them and
with devhook the games run great.
if u need further help pm me
