Them plastic £5 notes were out years ago in Northern Ireland.
When I was in turkey I left one on balcony in the hotel I was staying in.
It started to curl up. It was melting in the heat. LOL.
Also if they get the slightest we rip on them they just fall apart.
 
I'd be interested to see if the winning bidder actually followed through with their bid and paid fifty grand for a fiver which to me is worth, well, five quid.

I can understand people getting a bit carried away with the early batch numbers like AA01 2345 or whatever but that note has little significance in my eyes unless you are a Russian arms dealer living in the UK!
