yeh i have set the location from the blue button to bexleyheath and restarted the box and re scanned but still no channels at all.

i'll have to have a nother go later today with diffrent locations.

definatly got a singal, the feed is conected to my modem which is split from my main feed that goes to the original samsung box.

Possible weak or knackered tuner?

[EDIT] Just a suggestion, try flashing the box with an untouched LS FTA image and set loc - scan and see if you get anything.

Cheers, I'll give it a go.

Not a week signal as a pace 4000 works fine and auto updates the key in no time.

I have just tried re flashng the box with a few diff FTA images.

Still not getting any channels.

Do i have to put my own cables.xml and services.xml in???

When i scan it show that 303 trasponders have been found but no FTA channels.

When i set my location from the blue buton and do a fast scan it shows trasponderscan finished successfully, but still no FTA channels.

Cant be the signal as the pace box work fine with the same feed i have conected to the dbox?

if have Press the Red Key and the press the Blue key and you get a Menu with technical Information.

BER Bit Error Rate should be as low as possible shows 5293
SNR Signal Noise Ratio should be as high as possible shows 20764
SIG Signal should be as high as possible shows 61824

This stays the same even when i take the cable feed out is this correct

How can you check on the dbox if the signal is is there??

Also the channel bar keeps showing 'waiting for time' and then a message 'error no channels were found. Please execute a scan (dboc-key-> service)

Is it a satalite dbox ?
If the cable feed screws on its not a cable box
Just a shot in the dark

It a cable box.

have to use a adapter to convert the cable conection into a areial conection.
 
When you perform a scan and it shows the transponders found, does it then cycle through the transponders and show channels, radio and data being found? The numbers of channel etc. should be shown clocking up until the scan finishes. I know i my be asking very obvious questions, just trying to figure out what is going wrong at which stage.

it not finding any channels when doing the scans.

Just tried doing a scan with the box conected to the main feed from the wall, but no luck, not even the free to air channels. The original stb and cable modem work fine.

This box was working before about a year ago, but has been sitting aroung for a while.

Made a big mistake and did not back up the working image so dont have the service files etc to upload to the new image.

my net id 41050, freq 666.750 and syb rate 6.952.

any one got any service and etc fot this area????

Have tried a number but don't know if they work or not so have been wasting my time.

lakys-sylas 2x FTA
Virgin+_v2.1_2x_Nokia_fta.img
Lincsat.Beta7.25-Fullish.2x.img

just want to get the fta channels working for now and then try to work out the rest later.

No mate, not initially, if you can get it working from a full scan let it do that then transfer your .xml's in

Thats well weird, the normal transponder count should be 27-35ish, usually around 30.

This is looking like a duff tuner, you have proven the signal with the pace box.

Sorry if it's not the news you want mate but with a proven signal and that BER it's pointing towards the tuner imo.

It might even be a dry joint on the transistor will try to re solder it and give it a go. if not then i'm gona have to go to maplins and get a new transistor then.

hey all

successfully flashed my box to laky's image and i'm now just trying to get all my chans back.

only getting fta. been away from the scene for a while. a point in the right direction would be great.

got the bouqets and services from a working box - just getting the fta and nothing more.

help?

Shhhh, don't tell anyone but I had 2 errors in the first version coz I was knackered and best part sloshed when I wrote it :roflmao:
