SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
happening.
Arguments:
Arg1: c0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: 822ed709, The address that the exception occurred at

hope this helps

direct memory access controler has no driver installed.if thats what you meant.or were you talking about something else.i have driver scanner do you think running that would help thanks

I'd agree with Purity. Try burning a CD or bootable USB stick with Memtest on it and let it run for a while to see if your memory is failing. If it is, then if you've got more than one stick in there try removing one of them to find which one (or if it's both) that is faulty and replace it.

thanks for the replys.ran memtest for a couple of hours no errors.doing my head in.looks like i will have to phone dell and demand something out of them.allthough windows came pre installed surely ive paid for a version of windows so to speak. and do a reinstall.thanks again.

eventually got round to reformating pc.problem now is when typing @ and " are arse for elbow. anyone know why not a big deal really. but would like to sort this.thanks.

U have English US keyboard as default m8,,go to control panel and keyboard icon, make UK English default

Right click on the taskbar and in toolbars select Language. You should now get a new icon on your taskbar for language settings. You can change from US to UK in there.

Yeah, its not very logical. no doubt microsoft tested in 10,000 user labs staffed by monkeys before coming up with the design.
