what are your choice based on experience
I have read post of digi247 that he likes dr hd 15 and dr grand tripple - would like to know how Is current situation
for example can you get from UK new 12.467 transponder from 7 W 24 / 7 or other transponders from MENA footprint
give your tuner readings

Hi Sasho, one of the better receivers is the TM5402H/D, you should get all the MENA transponders in the UK, the one that you have asked about 12.467H 27500 AD SPORT 1/2 & EXTRA all HD, Level 97% Quatity 62% in the West Midlands.

Also depends on dish size. I have 1m dish which I peaked upon 14,467 H 27500 last weekend. I'm in the nw and reception on ad sports , 2 inc hd is dependant on weather/atmosphere. A smaller dish in my location would obviously make things worse, so tuner sensitivity I don't think would improve things. I can always get a lock on ad sports but sometimes suffer from pixelation.

Out of curiosity how many channels should we be able to recieve in the UK with a 1m dish and the TM5402hd as i get 30 channels.
Thanks

Getting 700+ with my set up from 7.3 west 104 cm Gibertini + 0.2 Lnb + TM5402HD

It depends where you are in the UK, Midlands for example you should get most of the channels on Eutelsat 7 west A @ 7.3w with varying levels of margin, 7w is more difficult, Nilesat 102 you might get some, Nilesat 201 none.

If you are in Scotland or near the border in England it's harder. The further south you are generally it's easier for 7w reception & 7.3w improves.

Dr HD F15, TM5402HD, Blade 7000 same receiver internally and tuner wise just a different skin, i doubt you can get an F15 now but the D15 is just as good and still in the same class as the Blade and the Technomate.

Right thanks for that i am in South yorkshire i will have to try 7.3w instead of 7w

which one from dr hd 15, tm5402HD, blade 7000 Is faster when zapping channels and changing menus - can some of the mentioned work reliable as a cccs client
which linux box Is coming right after dh hd 15 , tm5402HD, blade 7000 In regards of tuner quality

Gave it another go today on 7.3w on a blind search with no joy still only got 30 channels

are the 2 of txp,s you get 11.054.H.22000 and 11.137.H.22000 as these are on 8W and boom in with astra1N levels.. AD sports 1 HD is coming in at 8.4DB on my DR-HD F15 using a td110 and smart titanium lnbf which has almost identical gain as a gibertini 1m dish. i too am in the north-west of england. i have a gibertini 1.25m here waiting to go back up and this should give me between 1.5 and 2.0 db extra which can make all the difference in bad weather which living in bolton is 8 months of the year.regards mdt

Where are you ?

There is either something wrong with your set up or you are too far north to get this satellite.

I get 450 tv channels from 7.3 West on an 88 cm dish here in the south east.

What make is the dish & lnb.

I've pulled most of it in on 90s around there with the odd one missing (eg- Magestic Cinema's a bit low) , even down to as low as 80cm just south of there with most coming in with obviously lower margins but you should get most of it in clear weather.

Also try manually editing/ inputting transponders & channels.

Hi cambi,

Try this cndf file... all transponders/frequencies added for...

Eutelsat 7 West A at 7.3°W
Nilesat 102 at 7.0°W

This cndf file contains NO downloaded channels

NB
Remember to save your own cndf file before you try this one...

Best Wishes,

The dish is a 1m technomate with a smart titanium lnb. I re-aligned the dish last week putting a stabiliser bracket to the mount to stop any flexing leveled it up spot on. My satellite count went up from 13 to 24

You should have a lot more satellites even on a sky dish bunged on a motor & adding a bit to stop it flexing plus the fact that it's a Technomate 1m dish says quite a lot. The Technomate dish is sort of a cheap copy of the Triax dishes & badged by lots of companies, quite well made but quality control isn't what it could be IMO & they're not really 1m, some sell them as 1m, 98cm & 90s. I think they are nearer 92cm on the area measure but a TD88 will usually beat them & they're 90cm.

Not sure if iam doing the right thing but i have gone into menu then to advanced search and looking through the tansponders 90% of the frequencys are there but not picking anything up. I have got a few channel from 7.0w such as B4U PLUS but most of the others are from 7 & 8w
