Download the latest mixed sat channel list and in the main great stuff..

Odd channel is screwed mind you.

Pick TV for example is on its old pos 11.470/27.500 vpid 0512 apid 0640 ppid 8190

When I ue advanced scan on 12.207 it doesn't find the channel (or sky 2 for that matter but was another entry for that that worked after a move.

On my old channel list Pick TV works fine on 12.207/27.500 vpid 0518 apid 0646 ppid 8190

So my question is why isn't scan picking it up?

Going to be a right pain to have to keep TXing to PC to edit as you can't edit the transponder on the box.

Cheers

this can happen if a transponder with very close frequency already exists on the box for some reason m8, you should be able to just remove the transponder, then re-add it and scan to pick up the channels missing

Its odd that with Pick TV on Sky Channel 155, I rarely now am showing a signal - it states 'signal not found' - and thats on the latest Sky+ software!:Biggrin2:

Hi,

Can anyone report if 128 patch is a good update for all uses of the receiver?

Kindest regards

Hi dazman1122, Merliin et al,

Can anyone report if 128 patch is a good update for all uses of the receiver?

The only thing I don't like about 128 and all the newer patches is the restriction imposed on the 'Signal Strength/Signal Quality' bar readings... meaning you either get a signal lock straight away or else the 'Signal Strength/Signal Quality' bar readings stay restricted around 8%-11% and consequently they don't accurately reflect the actual/true 'Signal Strength/Signal Quality' readings that are being received by the tuner...

This adaptation on the newer patches is totally useless to satellite enthusiasts (like myself) who are trying to find 'Fringe Reception' satellites and their associated transponder signals... that's why I still use Phantompatch 117 as this was one of the last patches released that doesn't employ the aforementioned restrictions...

The beauty of the older patches is that you can see how close to a signal lock you actually are by looking at the 'Signal Strength/Signal Quality' bar readings and you can then tweak your dish quite accurately to a position where optimum 'Signal Strength/Signal Quality' has been achieved... thus indicating that you have indeed positioned your dish on the desired satellite... this is the only way of finding 'Fringe Reception' satellite positions when there are no transponders that are immediately lockable...

Surely it would be very simple for Phant0m to release two versions of all patches... one for the average user who just wants to view the popular satellites and TV channels... and another for the true satellite enthusiasts who want to explore/push the boundaries of what can be found/viewed with their Technomate receivers/Satellite dishes...

A good Spectrum Analyzer incorporated into the 'Enthusiast' patch would also be very helpful... if only I knew how to write software patches... alas it's far too complicated for me...

Best Wishes,
Zorch
