dreambox 800 reboots

as above,my mates dreambox starts to load up then reboots and does the same over and over,,,,is it this that is likely to be the culprits,,,3 bulging caps .and does anyone know the maplin equivalent or would i need to take them off first....ta

I don't think maplins sell 10v ones they sell 16v but i think the 16mm dia is to big as i think the ones in the box are 12.5mm dia but i could be wrong, measure one of them
these are high temp ones 105C
Part number N96KF they are 16mm dia 25 length 7.mm pitch

ones in the box are 12.5 mm by 22ish lenth but guess extra for the pins so presuming them ebay ones would be correctamundo

Have you checked things like the tuner and SIM card being seated correctly?

him on ebay only had 2 and i wanted 4 ffs,,,,,will these ones do Samwha Electrolytic Capacitor 4700uf 10V Radial 105'C C89A 2 pieces | eBay

Can you let us know if that fixes it as I've got one that appears to be doing the same. Basically it begins the startup and after the display changing to "Dream Multimedia Booting" it restarts after about 10-15 seconds. Tried different images and SIM's but its the same with all. Its an older DM800 (Rev J according to the main board) that I just use rarely if she wants to watch something that I don't, so its a bit glitchy but just about acceptable!

Take the tuner out and see if it boots m8

Took the tuner out and it boots fine. Its a Rev.J tuner which was always a bit glitchy on certain channels so can I replace it with a Rev.M?
