Hi again all,

I was just wondering whether everyone knew how to view the various ECM PID's of channels when using the Phantompatch...?

This might be common knowledge to a lot of you... but there may be some members on the forum who have not figured this out...

If you go onto any encrypted channel and press the 'Mute' button followed by the 'Exit' button and then press the 'Blue' button... you will then see the which ECM PID's are controllong each channel...

From my experience this method works on about 90% of the encrypted channels... but if this method doesn't work on the the other 10% of encrypted channel... you can always try the 9-7-9-7 method...

Best Wishes,
Zorch

Thats nice to know
But what can we do with this information can we use it for something ?

Menu - Exit - Blue .. cool, thank you Zorch. But 9-7-9-7? Doesn't seem to do anything on my TM6900 Super.

how to use ECM PID's menu on Phantompatches

Right wolftje gave me a push in the right direction with this when you are in the ECM PID's menu it will be on auto in default but in c.s. the tm will request all ECM PID's in the list from server and this will bring up your ecm request time (long time for channel to clear and glitching /freezing)
so in the ecm pid's list of the channel if you pick the one that your server is using your tm will connect/clear this channel faster and it will be more stable (bring down your ecm request time) once you pick one you will have to save and move to a different channel and back to see if the ecm pid is working for you if not you will have to go back in the ecm pid menu and select one that is working with your server.
Sounds like a lot of work and yes it is but it makes a big difference for me with the channels that were clearing very slow and were freezing/glitching a lot.If you want to try this maybe start with a channel that is clearing badly for you and see if it makes a difference.
Rgds to Zorch and wolftje

Re: how to use ECM PID's menu on Phantompatches

Thanks to Zorch,thijss26 and of course wolftje for the info have tried it out and it certainly makes a big difference so far no glitching or freezing for me.
Mine is a TM5402hd so far not a lot of choices only showing Auto or 1 ECM/PID line but maybe will have more as I have only tried it on about 6 channels so far.

Re: how to use ECM PID's menu on Phantompatches

yes it does depend on the provider how many is in the list some i found had 12 ecm pid's for one channel and more then one would connect
but i set it on the one that's seems to connect the fastest and best ,i'll be testing this over the next few weeks and it looks it has improved most channels anyway.

Re: how to use ECM PID's menu on Phantompatches

Read this post and went through mine, all seem to have only one, but it does appear better but we'll see over the coming days!

Is there any mileage in using the filters on the cam menu as they are also on auto?

Thanks for the info guys!

been using this now for a while working much better then before also changed the domain name of server to it's ip adress and it's making a big difference much less glitching and freezing on the local cards of the server

Technomate selects by default AUTO. So if you select the correct pid(for example smartcard local Sub or specific cardsharing CCcam/newcamd)
you will have no trouble at all opening opening that channel thus avoiding a long waiting time for the channel to open.

It works very well with
Tv Vlaanderen
NL Digitaal
XXX porn on Hotbird(a must !, hehe)
Sky NDS Uk
Sky premier
French Viaccess channels
Digital+ Spain
ORF (no need coz patch opens up)
That's all what I have been using it for..
