Hey guys,

reflashed the solo with vix1.2 and cccam isn't in the download menu...
how do i manually install?

i have downloaded cccam 2.2.1
there were lots of files in the extracted folder,

i uploaded the one ended with .mipsel to /tmp

menu setup vix ipkinstaller

but the file isn't there :(

Any advice is much appreciated,

Regards,
CrazyFool.

agreed i would recommend you first flash with vix 2.0 then go from there.

""""i uploaded the one ended with .mipsel to /tmp""" >>> u may of uploaded the wrong file ........

the only file u need, is the cam that ends in ?????? .ipk

You put that file into the .tmp folder on the vu+
dont reboot or anything otherwise it will disappear.
then do as u did....menu /setup/ vix/ ipkinstaller

The cam that u put in the .tmp folder MUST end in .ipk !!

good luck matey , let us know how u go on !

Hey guys,
thanks very much for the comments,

firstly, i am running the VU+ Solo,
so 1.1 is the latest image afaik :)

the problem with my last attempt was that there was no ipk when i extracted the rar file.

your download should do the trick,

I only have one problem now though.
I'm trying to remotely access the box but i get an error with flashfxp and filezilla as below:

[R] PASV mode failed, trying PORT mode.
[R] TYPE A
[R] 200 Switching to ASCII mode.
[R] Listening on PORT: 51207, Waiting for connection.
[R] PORT 192,168,X,X,X,X
[R] 200 PORT command successful. Consider using PASV.
[R] LIST -al
[R] 425 Failed to establish connection.
[R] List Error

it connects fine and everything but doesnt show the directory.

Thanks again,
Crazy

hi mate - can you only install one CCcam at a time on thus vu+ box?..i have cam 2.1.4 installed, but doesnt seem to let me instal 2.2.1 comes with error when installing using IPK installer...something along the line of :

"installing cccam 2.2.1 to root...
but that file is already provided by package"

execution finished

do you want to restart GUI now..yes/no ?"

Yes you can only instal one instance of cccam at once

ok i c one at time then...how do you delete the 2.1.4 cam want to try the 2.2.1...just messing about really, 2.1.4 works fine...but hey why not try the latest one..lol

In softcam manager press disable startup then stop

then go to plugins and remove the cam via red button

now you can instal a new cam:Clap:

thanks "bassethound"...it worked a treat...now i have the latest CCcam2.2.1 installed...

In terms of the differences in CCcam versions, the only thing I've noticed is that on a DM500c with 2.1.3 installed I have to reboot it for it to recognise changes in CCcam.cfg, but on another DM500c with 2.2.1 installed it automatically recognises changes and reboots itself as it were.

Both these boxes use different core images so that could be the difference also. Apart from that I believe there are security fixes.

Hi guys

I managed to install the cccam where is the cfg file ?

thanks guys

thanks I thought it should be there but when I have installed the ipk file cccam appears in the softcams folder and you get 2 cccam files in etc channel info and providers but it does not install a cfg file, I assume i maually do it and would the cfg file from my dm500 be ok to put here?

thank you!!
