should i get acekards?

i started off a few years ago with the R4DS (original) then got an R4i

but the kids want the newer games that either dont work on the R4i, or need a lot of fannying around with patching, using different loaders from within the R4 menus etc

should i just get a handfull of acekards, as these supposedly work with anything out there?

but i have read about needing to put them into a DSL for something about updating? whats that about?

what firmware is your dsi running on m8 ? if it running on 1.4e you need to upgrade the firmware that is pre intalled on the cards by using a ds or ds lite.

maybe that you have bought a new acecard with the 1.4e firmware already loaded onto it for the dsi /dsi xl , as although you buy a new acekard it could be in stroage for a long time and then you get the old firmware loaded on it ? try on acekard site for files to backdate the firmware on the kart as they have the files to update the firmware hope this helps ?

Ok, i think its the rom files, as in a dsi its not working either

im only having problems with the mario bowsers inside story game, other games on the SD card work fine in the DSl and DSi

I only got my DSi Xl working today

Have you try using AKAIO 1.6 rc2 + loader.The offical 4.21 loader wasn't much cop ,games not loading etc.
