So who wants to add some extra interest to the World Cup matches?

Digital Worldz will be running a fantasy league for fun. The World Cup 2010 will soon be here and it doesn't last long, so this game will bring some added short term enjoyment. If your team wins or loses, it wont matter as long as you do well in the DigitalWorldz private league :proud:

Those that are signed up for the 'Racers League' should already be able to sign-in, but if you arent registered its a simple process with just a valid email needed- FSPORTS : Fantasy World Cup Football - 2010

Once signed in you can create a team, which can be changed anytime up to the start of the World Cup. For those who think it may be too complicated, there is also a 'quick create' button to just get a random valid team for easy start. You can tweak over the next month or so maybe, or stick with pure luck, but for sure football is full of surprises so this league will bring lots of fun no matter who you choose.

When you have registered a team you will need to join the DigitalWorldz league. This is league number 90598 or you can find us alphabetical (under D) -no password needed.

Any help needed just ask here. Certainly worth getting involved in, you have to be in it to win it guys :)

All thanks should go to Pinkhelmets for setting this up! It should create more interest than our DW Fantasy Football league as it's won/lost in over a short period of time! I think people lose interest in the EPL season one?

Anyway, may the best me win ;)

That's me in too, Jabulani Utd. My 8 yr old saw me picking my team & he wants to enter as well (Cheetahs Utd), hope that's ok.

If he beats me he'll be worse than barred mate :proud: Our forfeit for bets is loser has to be a 'slave for a day', no difference for me really but it's a pain for him when he's my 'slave'

I think a lot more will be interested. The trouble with this sports section is that it doesnt get used much. Once its mentioned in the general chat I'm sure loads will be interested, same as the Racers League. No rush though, we'll get lots more members joining soon ;)
Anyway, the regulars in here can register first so they start in the top 25 on the first page ....might be our only chance lol, I'm rubbish with footy so I'm very happy to top the league before it all starts :proud:

------also we've worked out from the F1 league that if you are on the same points then whoever registered first goes above, so that may be important one day :)

Im in too great idea this do love a fantasy league, mad selection policy aswell by only having one from each country. My front line looks awesome i must say :Clap:

Anyway, I'm in. Same user id as the F1 one.
 
A few points have been gained over the weekend, its all very close so far though. The ones at the bottom have their players games yet to be played.
At the mo it looks good to have Rafael Marquez (Mexico) and Philip Lahm (Germany) in your defence, Gallas (france) would be an added bonus too.
Thomas Mueller is best performing forward at the mo, but after the german game any of their players has earned you good points.
Park Ji-Sung (South Korea) is best midfield currently.
Romero seems a good choice of goalie, at least helping me :)

Its early though and we still have some big teams to play yet. Ronaldo/portugal, Brazil, Spain, Italy will soon shuffle the league for sure.
Its added some extra interest anyway. :proud:
 
Dont forget the window for transfers guys. 5 changes allowed, so get your teams updated. For those in the lower half of the league, dont give up because now is the chance to catch up. Certainly, if you leave your team without change you could end at the bottom and we'll all be taking the piss for the next 4 years!! :)

Everyone needs updating and you can choose more than one of the same nation now.
 
thanks for the reminder, forgot you could make some transfers after the group games. Im surprised im 3rd overall, so im going all out to try and take top spot

Shame we have to wait 4 years for the next one, I quite enjoyed that.

yeah well done mate, you have 4 year braging rights, no shame in that lol

Was a good comp and enjoyed it, messed up my transfers towards the end but made up at finishing 2nd. hats off to pinkhelmet for sorting it out.
The premiership season is just round the corner so im sure, we'll have some people signing up for that
