USB Loader works, but NG7 fails.

OK, had a few issues of late, as my posts in the "Easy 4.2 Guide" and the "Wii soft mod guide 4.2" will testify. Lol

Anyway, today I tried the USB loader and that gave the "002 Error". However I'd seen this error mentioned in the USB Loader Options Menu. A quick tweak in the USB options solved this, and the game played from the USB no problems after that.

Could this Error 002 issue be part of the problems I'm having with NeoGamma 7...? Does it shed any light perhaps?

In the menu settings for me to "switch on", or built in mate?

If it ain't that causing the problems, what else could it be, any ideas?

Disc, both new downloads and burns, and old games that were playing on the old homebrew are failing with a different error number.

You might need to update your cios 249 or 222 for this error to be totaly rectified with disk/usb loading, I had a similar problem with coverflow, but updating the cios solved it for me.

Tried StartPatch v4.2.4 today, still not playing anything.

Also tried PreLoader, that won't install either, something about no Dol, or wrong Dol or something! Lol.

Can somebody answer these questions please...

1, In the BootMii menu, top right hand corner, what version should it be saying, and which IOS etc?

2, The Blue LED slot lighting, does this give me any clues as what might be going on, either during startup, or even when a disc is put in?

Yes mate, spot on. USB gave the 002 error, so I set the fix for that in the USB loader options, and the game ran. NG refuses to play anything at all.

Hi again Dazza,

replied to you in a post yesterday, after doing my own chipped Wii on 4.2. I then knew I had today to piss about with my parents old Starfalled 3.2 wii which started similarly to yours.

If it makes you any better, I'm having no end of hurt with it too - been at it since 7pm lol. I'd disabled Starfall options, then updated the HBC and followed the 3.1-4.1 guide updating to waninkoko's 4.1. BUT....I could get some games to work fine in the system menu....but the NeoGamma loader including most recent version does nothing just timing out the system.

At the mo I'm messing with updating to waninkoko's 4.2 and then following the steps I did for my own Wii so hopefully get somewhere so will keep ya posted Lemme know if you fix it too

ready to crack more than this effing wii right now.

I updated to waninokos 4.2. It then advised that I use dop-ios to downgrade ios30....which I tried.....thought it worked - but turned out it failed with -1 error.

Then booted (skipping out the stupid things I've done in between ) to any title remover or whatever its called and loaded ios36 and then deleted ios30 manually, then the dop-ios allowed it to install correctly now.

I'm now back to removing the 0.6 bootmii and putting it on fresh as per the old guide......as an hour or so ago when I was trying the same old guide...once it got to the loading the cios renamed to boot.dol - it was crashing giving a black screen. Hoping that was related to this ios30 thingy.

the cios38r14 is now letting it load now - so the problem MUST have been to do with the ios30 - phew!!! let's see how goes from now!!! bloody parents! They're only going to play Guitar Hero 5 for about 30mins then never play wii again for another year till they buy another gimmick as a "joke present"

right - finished the main 4.2 guide now.....

current status.....an older game (Zack And Wiki) inserted. It does not load on the system menu like it did earlier....but Neogamma is loading it fine!!

I am now going to do like I did on my own console, installing CiosCorp 3.6 and then Cios38rev16 to then check mario etc
