Hi mates,
I have got 2 nos.of Tm 600 and an Official via. card for some ethnic channels.
I am planing to make one of this TM 600 as my server and the one in another room as a client rx.
The problems i am facing are

1) Tm card reader dosen't read the card except CCcam{2.1.0.2}

2) when i select CCcam2102+NewCS1.67 sometimes, it works, if i delete
mgcamd31+NewCs167 from default softcam list

3) CAID shows sometime only and most of the time it is 0000:

i download most of the cam available in UR panel but still it doesn't work
except CCcam {2102}.........

can any one help me to sort it out this please!!

Thanks in advance,
tony

You say the card works in cccam? Why not just set cccam up on the both boxes add the right F/C lines into each cccam.cfg. To be honest i got lost when you started talking about the other emus/servers. Sounds like you asking about just using 2 recievers but are planning to expand into clients outside your internal network?

Si

Put your card in your main box and edit the cccam.cfg file and create an F: line which should read something like this

F: upstairsbox boxupstairs

which is your user name and password and this is so that the receiver downstairs knows that another receiver wants to share the card.
Then on the receiver upstairs edit that cccam config file and create a C: line which should read something like this

C: 192.168.1.4 12000 upstairsbox boxupstairs

This is so the receiver upstairs knows that it is connected to the receiver downstairs and forwards the user name and password to allow it to re-share.
You will need to change the IP address in your C line to the IP address which has been assigned to the box downstairs. To find out what that is go into setup, select expert setup, choose communications setup and the IP address of the box is on the first line. Type these numbers into the C: line of the box upstairs, select CCcam 2.1.02 on both receivers and they should talk to each other.
You can either edit the existing CCcam config files or just create a new blank one in wordpad. Copy them over using Filezilla and all should be well.
CCcam config files are stored in var/etc on the Technomate's.

Good luck

Liam

Hi liami
Thanks a lot mate. i will try that and i will let u know !!!
what about the CAID, I dont need it?
Thanks and warm reagrds
Tony

If you had botherd to answer my question, 'do you have it working with cccam 2.1.2?'

If it is working its must be activated, if its not well all the best trying to get the emm updates to the card.

easy options not always the best mate.

Si

soory sikinn,
i don't meant that! The card is working fine in cc cam and is activated obviously!
as u said i am planning to share with more of my friends but i havent got much idea about it !!! sorry i am still learning it! if any one can explain the steps one by one then it will be cool!!ofcourse i will try from my side at its highest level . i would have limitations in it beacuse i am new to this CS stuff.according to what i know is the sever rx should be in new cs and the the client box should be in cccam,mgcam,...etc so the reciver can talk to each other . is it right? But i dont know w how to make this c line or f line to be honest!!

(NewCS is a program which can be connected to various kinds of client EMUs.

NewCS set up will be done by /var/tuxbox/config/newcs.xml file.

There are some important points in setting newcs.xml. Below is an important section. You must confirm the setting in parts 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, and the rest part should remain as default setting.

357
This means communication speed to card. Most of cases, 357 is good.
/dev/sci0
Set serial port which is connected to card slot. relook have /dev/sci0 (lower slot), /dev/sci1 (upper slot). mutant have /dev/sci0.
0000000000
Enter box keys if needed.

is it the right stuff?
can any one explain in simple steps please!!!
Thanks and warm regards

The reason i ask is if you intend any one from outside connecting to you server is becuase you need to make the choice what cardserver/emu to use, and mentioning newcs mgcamd got me confused as to which direction you want to go in..So..lol

Do you intend anyone who does not use cccam to connect to your server?

Also what card is it you metion via but what provider?

Hi mate
the card is viaacess and in hot bird
i intend to make my own server and i would like to share my card to my friends as well! i dont want access anyone my server without my knowledge!! eg.client emu, i would like to have CC cam
is it possible ?
now i got mgcamd 1 + newcs 1-67 working! for my server Rx, but when i insert the card it won't come straight away but if u wait 1 or 2 minutes then it will work!
is it normal?, i am bit confused as well because when i put cc cam it works within notime!
but again it doesnt show the CAID!!
so what i have to do now

Thanks
Tony

Need to really know the provider mate it would help. If your friends are all able to use cccam i would start using that, either let cccam read the card direct or let newcs read the card and cccam to share it.

Let me know the provider then we can move on.

Si

If CCcam works and reads the card and all your friends have receivers that support CCcam then just use that particular softcam. I started to use NewCS and gave up after a while due to the amount of settings that you have to play around with to get each card to work and switched to CCcam after some expert advice.

Now if you are looking to share this card out with your friends then its probably best to create a Dyndns or No-Ip account, this will still allow your friends to pick up your card even if your IP changes, unless you are on a fixed IP address.

The way you do this is to go to dyndns.org or no-ip.com and create a user account and call it whatever you want, after you have created your account you need to change some settings in your router such as opening up port 12000 to allow CCcam to send and receive information as well as putting your Dyndns settings into your router.

Once this has been done you need to create C: lines for all the people you want to have access to your card.

Example C: anthony8420.dyndns.org 12000 mateJohn Johnmate no
and put these in all the boxes that are going to be looking at your card.
anthony8420.dyndns.org is an example address that I have just made up which tells your mates receivers where to look to find the keys that your server is transmitting.

12000 is the port which CCcam sends the keys through your router
mateJohn Johnmate is an example user name and password.
No means no reshare available so they cannot then send the keys coming in out to somebody else.

If you have a fixed IP address just change the anthony8420.dyndns.org to the IP address of your modem. You can find out what that is at whatsmyip.org.

So once you have created all you config files with a C: line in each one you need to create a config file with F: lines in
Example

F: mateJohn Johnmate no 3 1 0 { 0:0:3 }
F: mateDave Davemate no 3 1 0 { 0:0:3 }
F: matePaul Paulmate no 3 1 0 { 0:0:3 }
F: mateLiam Liammate no 3 1 0 { 0:0:3 }

You can make the user name/password as easy or as difficullt as you like and this file basically allows the people with the correct user name and password onto your server to obtain the keys from the card.

I think thats it in a nutshell but If I've missed some important bits out I'm sure one of the other guys on here will fill in the blanks.

Liam

P.S.

It would be helpful if you let people know which card you are looking towards sharing then people can recommend a better softam over CCcam as some work better than others with particular cards.

Hi liam
Thanks a lot mate for u r time and help which is easy to follow !!
I will let u know the resaults ASAP.
Thanks

No probs theres a hell of a lot to this CS mularkey and I think that we are just dipping our toes in.

Liam

Pretty good explanation Liam but i will just correct a few points you made, if you dont mind.:)

No means no reshare available so they cannot then send the keys coming in out to somebody else.

The only 'no' in any lines go on the clines to say you do not wish to user the server emus if they are offered, it has nothing to do with reshare. The reshare level is determined by the the last number in the {}

So to use your fline we need to get rid of the 'no' like i explained above.

F: mateJohn Johnmate 3 1 0 { 0:0:3 }

first 3, means you are giving cards upto 3 hops away
1, means you are giving them your emus
0, means they are not allowed to send emm (updates) to local cards

{ 0:0:3 } the '3' means you let them share what you have a furthur 2hops away from themself. If you use '1' only they can use your cards but dont use '0' unless you want them to not beable to use anything.

Like i have said a few times here i advise you to change the port to something else than 12000. In the cccam.cfg use the

SERVER LISTEN PORT :21121

and give that port out with you lines.

antony8420, am struggling to find the provider is it Payam by any chance?

Si

Cheers for that Si, you learn something new everyday. I wasn't aware that the first zero meant no emm's. Thanks for the heads up and it looks like I need to do some more editing in my CCcam config file.

Liam

P.S. can you check my other post out Si if you could.

Cheers
