vplug 2.39 help please

Hi Everyone,



Please could I have some help from the vplug experts I have been trying for days everything i've read and it still wont work. Free to air works but apart from that I get "channel is scrambled" from mediaportal. I am in area 5D01. Any help would be gratefully received.



Software

Mediaportal 1.0 rc3

vplug 2.39 with nagra.mdl form 24/12th patch

MDAPIfilter 2.6



Vplug is installed in

C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\MDPlugins\TechnoTrend0



I have tried emm in v_emm as 0000 1F3F and the default of 0080. Set at 1F3F if right click and AU on the line

First off I dont use mediaportal, try this go to the V-emm.ini, change the 5E01 PID= to 1F3F, then give vplug some keys. Start mediaportal, tune to a scrambled channel, go to plugins/vplug/show monitor (or whatever), click on the blue icon top right, you should have the editor, if there is any text in the middle of the screen right click then delete all records. At the bottom of the editor you need to input the following: -

Name = N

Provider ID = 5E01

Key Index = 00

Key = 0000000000000000 (must be 16)

Then add new, do it again but change the key index to 01, then once more with key index V and key 1234, you should have 3 lines of text, close the editor, in vplug right click on the key icon (lower one at the top) select Activate selected EMM pid (AU) only if there is no tick next to it, it should decrypt in a minute or two.

Hi,

Did that and also tried removing 5c01 and 5d01 while doing it from v_emm.ini

Vplug still looks for AU keys for 5D01 when you ask it to autoupdate.

So, 5D01 is your area (I think), start again, change V-emm.ini 5D01 to 1F3F, do as post 2dont forget do it on a scrambled.

Vplug in the root of mdplugins doesnt try and tune when you select a channel in mediaportal.

All the tutorials say it should be in the technotrend folder created by mdapifilter after the tv service restart. Vplug used to work in october when i tested it. However since i have have setup my htpc again in december i cnt get it to decode anything at all.

Tune or decode ? it seems like your emm.ini is configured correctly, cant hurt to try can it or just delete the VPlug.ini, it will create a new one when you start up Mediaportal again anyway.

I havn't used MP for a while myself as it was always a bit buggy but like i said cant hurt to try, I did have it working with MDPlugins ages ago and i'm sure if you google my user name it will pop up a few times on the subject!

Break it up into two steps.

1/ Get the ECM decryption working - Enter the keys as in post #2 but instead of using 00's put the real operational keys in

Hopefully that should give channel decryption.

2/ Get the Emm working. There was a tutorial by vahid (or one of his associates) on how to get AU Emm's working in the UK. I think you have to enter the full AU keyset. For the AU to function on the latest keyroll you also need the latest Vplug.

in your case -- mediaportal is the issue , not a vplug
u better start with more user friendly software ( mytheatre 3.38 or progdvb or dvbviewer ) instead

btw vplug 2.39-2.40 seems to be useless for chorus mmds at all -- cant do ECM decryption even with real operational keys in it ( any previous versions working fine )- at the same time it is working fine with the irish ntl
i think it is smth to do with the n v (verification) key --- starting with the 2.39 it is embedded hardcore (nagra.mdl) for each provider id, seems like vplug doesnt recognize prov id correctly - as a result- ecm decrypt failure
so , the only way to get ecm decrypt for me was to set verification key value to 00000000
- u might try vplug 2.32 or 2.36 ( nagra.mdl v 1.0.0 ) -- u wont get au there , but at least it is do ecm decrypt correctly

Can anyone point me to this, got Vplug (2.4.1) to works by entering the keys manually, just can't get it to AU?

Yes it works fine when I load the keys, but that not the problem, i want it to AU, which at present its not doing.

no - in order to AU u need the emm decrypt keys - these are contained in a file which is not ssupplied with vplug - it tells you the name of the file you need - you can either download and place v_keys in it's directory or you can import them from a softcam.key file

AU will not work without doing this

thanks... can you offer more info, were do i place emm key? i have AU keys in my dreambox (500) just don't know were to place them?

Were do place them in the softcam.key file and in what format? if not can you please upload the file so i can have a closer look.

Has far i was aware the softcam.key file only hold the 01 & 00 active keys!!!

If anyone as the vplug AU, what version are you using?
