Mediaportal and VPLUG

Hi hopefully someone can help !!

I've installed mediaportal 1.0.2 with tv server and completed a scan and have picked up the 200 odd channels that you would expect from say a dreambox.

Althought it would appear the cam, in this case vplug ? isnt installed correctly or not set up correctly. As it says 'channel scrambled, go back to previous channel' on FTA. From within media portal that is.

I have installed mdapi2008 with no errors and copied v_keys to C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\MDPlugins

I have also run the installer for vplug 2.4.2 with no errors.

But i still dont appear to be able to clear 'premium channels'.

Can someone point me in the right direction ?

Below is a smple of my vplugGUI log file (it shows i went from five audio channel OK then to CITV and it could decrypt the stream, back to BBC1 which was OK)

It would typically be fixed either by setting your deinterlacing or refresh rate correctly, depending on exactly what you mean by "jerky".

Right i have tried a few things.

1. I tired entering the 3 lines as mentioned in the previous post which worked ok but its still not clearing on premium channels.
2. I looked on my 500c and took a note of the current keys and entered them manually and turned off *i think* AU. Still it does not work.

It would appear looking at the log that vplug is using the wrong keys even though i've only told it to look for the two ive speciffied in editor. Even though i deleted all before adding the keys.


Also i have changed as per previous post 5d01 and 5c01 to 1f3f.

*EDIT NOW WORKING FOR PREMIUM CHANNELS CLICKED PREFERENCES FROM WITHIN VPLUG. eDIT EMM PIDS AND RIGHT AT THE BOTTOM WERE SOME REFERENCES TO 5D01 AND 5C01 THAT WERE SET TO 0800. I CHANGED THEM TO 1F3F AND WORKING*





Althought it wont clear the HD channels now for some reason ??? Also i have this annoying "your version of elecard mpeg2 has run out please purchase another one scrolling along the bottom as well" !

It's always hard to diagnose this kind of problem without being able to actually see what's going on, but start by checking that your PC's refresh rate is the same as your TV, which would usually be 50hz. If that doesn't work, play around with your deinterlacing settings and see if that makes a difference.

Get rid of Elocard. It's the skankiest MPEG2 codec around, and I think the trial version only does SD, so that might explain the HD problem. I personally prefer Nvidea Purevideo.

Thanks for the reply i've installed the codec/ purevision and now the elecard is gone. So thanks for that but for some reason it still wont clear hd channels. Mediaportal doesnt complain its almost as if it thinks channel is working fine.

All of which have the green arrow next to them. So im assuming thats all ok.

I tried progdvb but it just seems to complain about my device (1501 BDA PCI) not being started and then crashes !!
