Auto-Update Keys

I came across this only a few days ago and i must say it is great and i know it will save me lots of time in the future. Ultimately you will never have to extract or ftp keys again, so long as your dreambox has an internet connection - if you don't already know how, this is how you to do it:

Download this plugin

Extract file & copy its contents to var/tuxbox/plugins

set attributes for both files to 755

Blue button > plugins > Satankey-Updater > enjoy!

Find it frustrating though as doesn't decode as much as with the Technomate. Can't get Multivision for example.

Can anyone else advise how to get soft cam multivision on DB 7025?

can you not use mgcamd_1.25 on a dm7025 ? That is auto-update and has everything the technomate has afaik, Multivision is fine anyway. What cam emu are you using thats not updating?

This has nothing to do with the actual softcam itself... this just updates the keys that are loaded into the softcams to decode channels

Hi,
Am using CCcam 2.03, and need to keep this on permanently for CS.
CCcam does not seem to update the keys as MGCam does.
Anyone had the same problem, and know any workarounds?

My Tps auto updates with cccam.

I just put it on 'france 4' on 10873 and it updates and then clears after a few seconds.

I also unplugged router to make sure nothing was being updated from the net.

That's interesting TPS is updating for you with Ccam - i'm obviously doing something wrong! -What DM, image, & version of CCCcam are you using? - I have a 7025, and use the latest gemini, and cccam 2.03.

I have the following files in /usr/keys
SoftCam.key
Autoupdate.key
SoftCam.key
tps.bin

Can't think what else it could be. Does the cccam.cfg need any special configuring?

Any ideas anyone?

I have a dm500s with gemini 4.00 and cccam 2.0.3.

If and when I update my softcam I use the one where you get TWO folders.
One with var/keys and another folder called var/scce.

It can be found everywhere.But a quick look at the sticky that only has the softcam key in it.

Also I have not touched the cccam config.

I have attached the latest version of the keys I use.

Hi i use mgcamd 125 for tps it works fine for d+ / premiere/and for 30 degree west for cabo and d+ i use evocamd 216 it works better that way for me i use satan key plugin to update via internet no need to enter keys manually***

Thanks for those files Equalizer, i'll try these later when i'm back home.
However i'm pretty sure i have all of these files in place already.
I wonder if i the problem is peculiar to 7025's?

Has anyone else had success getting TPS auto updates to work on a 7025 using CCcam 2.03.
If so, you let me know if i need to be doing anything other than suggested by Equalizer above?

I dont use cccam or a 7025, but i seem to remember something a while back about deleting tps.bin ? Can anyone confirm if that file should be there or not? Delectable maybe you could ftp then make a copy of the tps.bin file, then remove it from your var/keys and reboot. Then if tps still wont auto-update you could always put the deleted file back.

-----------ah i also just noticed you mentioned 'Autoupdate.key' file but what about the AutoRoll.Key file? I am sure cccam needs the AutoRoll file like mgcamd does.

I did have AutoRoll.Keyas well, but I've just read the sticky on this and realised i should have deleted the TPS.au file, which i know was there.
I this doesn't work, i'll take pinkhelmet's advice and remove tps.bin as well, and give this a go.
Would i be right in thinking these files are created the first time TPS autoupdates, and TPS.AU file is modified on an on-going basis after every automatic update?
I'll report back on progress when i get home.

Guys, i've tried all of the above and still no joy with autoupdating TPS.

However, many thanks Equalizer, your key files have enabled me to decrypt cable and sat with CCcam. Before, i had to keep swapping b/n EvoCam and CCcam.

Back to the TPS autoupdating, is there anyone with a 7025 and using CCcam and having any joy with this that could give me some pointers?

i am using CCcam to get tps i move to channel FRANCE 5 on tps and give it a minute and all channels clear.

If i disable the cccam.cfg file to disable CS, and reload the TPS relevant files discussed above, i seem to be able to get TPS to decrypt on France 4 temporarily. The expert ECM Expert confirms this.

However, if i flick over to France 5, i get nothing, then back to France 4 nothing, and i'm back to where i started.

If i use MGcam to AU, this works fine, but i need to keep CCcam on always for CS.

This must be something simple i've got wrong??

I think i know what your prob is,
CCcam is looking for the keys from the box in your bedroom
at the end of your c line add this ( 500:22610 ) this will stop cccam from searching the 2nd box in your bedroom.
Heres a example

c:mybedroom.snooze.isitthattimealready getup now 12000 no { 0.0.3 500:22610 }

Hope this works possibly why i do not have a prob with my bedroom box.

Thanks Geronimoe, but I don't think this is the problem.
As mentioned, i have tried disabling the config file, so i know CCcam isn't looking elsewhere for a card.
As TPS AU seems to work fine for me with MGCamd, i think the problem centres around my CCcam prog files, and any related files used in the TPS AU process.
I think i need to find someone using CCam with a 7025 who is successfully TPS AU'ing, and grab a copy of their key folder.
If anyone can help, please let me know.

what do you mean by "set attributes for both files to 755"?
i ftp the files to plugins but it says "cannot execute" and than (check rights)
