xtreamer ultra

hiya,
just wondering if anyone else on here pre ordered the xtreamer ultra and has got it ? reason i ask is having abit of trouble with dual booting, i have never ever used linux before and struggling a little bit, the machine is brilliant i think, really enjoying what i got going so far, which is i have put the xtreamer ultra o/s on which is called everest which is based on ubunta, have xbmc on it and its amazing, really really good, anyway my probrlem is im installing everest onto a internal hdrive, then i partition the hdrive using partition manager, i try booting it up and everything is working fine, then i install windows 7 onto the spare partition and it installs fine but it seems to mess up everest on the other partition as i dont get the option to choose which i want to boot, does anyone know why it isnt working ? how do i dual boot linux and windows, thanks

don't know anything about the xtreamer, but...

I always install Windows first and then ubuntu next as it picks up the windows os and sorts out the boots for you.

Install EasyBCD on the Windows 7 partition, and then alter the BCD info so it can see both Linux and Windows partitions

I also do windows first, linux second. Linux installs a bootmanager (usually GRUB) that will recognise the win partition and offer you the choice of OS when you boot

yes when i have linux on it it does saying loading grub or something like that when it loads and then theres a few icons which you could choose from if i had more than one operating system on, ive just installed that openelec on it and jesus that is good, boot time is reduced alot and the speed of xbmc is awesum,its only on a usb stick aswell, really starting to love this xtreamer ultra i think its great, ive ordered a external usb dvd rewriter as think it be alot easier for me to mess abit more with it, im definately wanting that on somewhere, then either windows 7 or xtreamers tweaked operating system everest, probably windows 7 though, or saying that i might have all 3 yet as im only using the internal hdrive for operating systems as ive bought a external enclosure for all my moives and tv shows etc,
so when my external rewriter comes il try putting windows 7 on first and il look into EasyBCD, thanks
