Hello All

Just joined this after buying a second hand spiderbox 7000hd off someone finally had it all installed and the kid i bought it off said, i needed an updated channel list keeps saying he will fetch me it but alas no joy sick of asking him. I get no signal on 95% of channels the odd channels that do work tend to be in German or have German translation.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction of what i need to do to get an updated channel list
I have seen mentioned on here dark mania v2 that's what mine says on the channels when i flick through them. Any help would be greatly appreciated many thanks

Carl

Tell me about your dish.
Is it a fixed dish? what satellite is it pointing at?
Is it a motorized dish?
Really need some information from you about your setup.

Hi
Its a moterized dish I pick up all the satalittes but apparantley it needs a channel update

just found this one thanks to Compass 30w, 15w, 0.8w, 4.8e, 7e, 13e, 16e, 19e, 23.5e, 28.2e, 39e, 42e, 10e & 9e.

Hi

Thanks but what do i need to do is it easy enough to do?

Carl

Ok i will guess there is somewhere on the spider box to upload these files thanks

Cannot download says i need to have 5 posts which i am now on 6

Gutted waited patiently 24 hrs and still cannot download what am i doing wrong this box gonna get an hammer to it soon

Well the hammer is certainly one option but for now why not scan a few satellites for your self? say 28.2e, 19.2e and 13e this will give a few thousand channels you can play with whilst your waiting to download someone else's channel list.
Also it will give you a valuable insight into the workings of your new satellite receiver.

hello i get 1000s of channels but like i say majority don't work I get no signal, the kid who sold me it said to get the channels I need an updated channel list

Hmmm if he had it working the channel list wont be that out of date, can you try the BBC and ITV channels on 28.2e? Although a receiver can have say 6000-10000 channels very few will be free to air, the majority will need either a paid subscription or other means to open them.
Do you know what software version the receiver has? press menu and find the information it will help us to work out just how outdated your receiver is.

Hi I dont think its been used for a while, it was in my garage since November kept forgetting about it just got around to setting it up recently,
software version is ver F4.37, LDR Ver 00.31
Hardware Version Ver 01.20.RM PTC (ok)
Last Update Pct 10 2011
I have a paid subscription and am getting some channels but its hit and miss

Post #27 in this thread has the latest official Spiderbox software your patch is a little out of date. Spiderbox 7000 / 9000HD patches (No chat, patches only) - Page 3

Note other than FTA and the softcam channels there is nothing open nowadays without resorting to other methods, you say you have a subscription and I assume that your subscription channels are working so what else are you expecting to open?

I don't think the things hard all i need is the channel list, which is proving to be difficult to get hold of, for reasons i cannot understand

Hi
Like i say its hit and miss some channels work on subscription some don't, also the free ones like bbc 1 doesn't work but sky news does. I know jack all about these things but the kid i got it off mentioned something about transponders and channels get moved, so i need an up to date channel list to make the thing work properly or is he talking rubbish.
