Today's tip: When upgrading C14.6 to C14.7 - it's strongly recommended that you first DISABLE load EPG at Startup and then REBOOT your box via the Main Menu > Reboot option.

And THEN ftp the un-rarred 7.75MB C14.7 .img file to the /tmp folder

And then reflash via Main Menu > Services > BLUE > GREEN > RED

I say this because peeps seem to get bad flashes, and I'm sure it's a memory issue, where they're reflashing without a clean reboot first, so a load of EPG is alread resident in memory. Give the box a chance!

What location did you set in SML initially? Have you run AutoBouquets yet? If so, can you rar up these files for me to check out please:

/var/etc/channels.cfg
var/tuxbox/config/rdmap.dat
var/tuxbox/config/local.scan

This assumes you're running the default GetEPG and haven't switched to RT-EPG

Great work on the new image guys ,quality as always.

I will offer some feedback ,positive I may add.
I notice that there are only 8 Sky Interactive Sports channels in the Sky Interactive bouquet but in reality there are 14-15 interactive sports streams.
Is there any way the extra interactive channels could be added ?

I live in Ireland so I appreciate the Set My Location but if I may I will add some advice.
The Irish variations of Channel 4,E4 and More 4 are inferior to the UK variations in that certain programming is blocked on them ,the Simpsons,a few films etc.
They are also pay channels not free and require a Sky sub.
I think it would be better if the Uk versions were incorporated in future versions of the Set My location for Ireland.The UK versions work better with the RT epg too .

I also think that Sky Atlantic +1 gets booted way down the Entertainment bouquet in the ireland setup,its not after Sky Atlantic,all other+1 channels are fine.

Great image otherwise.

By keeping the English Channel 4 for SML Ireland, do you mean NOT to use TG4? And which regional Channel 4 and 4 +1 would you prefer the Irish to have? Browse down the rdmap.dat file to see the choices, and let me know please?

I suspect you may have changed the AutoBoquets +1 channel ordering to 'stream order', which orphans many +1 channels from their parents, including this one. I suggest you revert to the default 'with parent' option, or perhaps try our new option of having them all (except Movies) in their own 'Plus 1hr Channels' bouquet?

Al im using scotland east but i sometimes watch itv rather than stv. I havent changed any of the settings to RT-EPG and everything was ok before update.

Well of course you're not getting any GetEPG for "ITV" nor "ITV +1" - neither channels exists in your bouquets (meaning you're accessing them from bouquet 'Other', yuk!)

You really want these two in your Entertaiment bouquet, don't you? Question is, WHICH ITV region would you prefer? I'm sure it's not the default London. Tyne Tees perhaps? Let me know, and I'll show you how to mod your local.scan file to accomodate this.

Yes, I've just renamed "10225" to "STV +1" in the online update kit (though this isn't quite ready to launch yet). Have also sym-linked the "STV" picon to "STV +1" as well as moving "STV +1" from above "Alibi" to go to it's proper place below "STV", it's parent.

Now you're a dab hand at this lark, you might want to browse the 'Customizing Bouquets doc for more inspired ideas.

Thanks Paphosal,that would be great,the missing 5 channels would be handy.
For example Connaught were playing in the Heineken cup a few weeks back and that match was on one of the extra 5 channels .

No,sorry ,thats not what I meant.
Channel 4 and 4+1 on the Irish Set My Location do not even open.I have a valid Irish sub but the channels wont clear for me ,E4 and More 4 open fine.
This was also the case with version 14.5 and 14.6 .
I got around it by using a UK setup and just adding RTE1,RTE2,Tv3 and Tg4 into the Entertainment bouquet.
To be fair I prefer the channel layout of the UK setup,i.e the UK terrestrial channels are nearer the top instead of Sky1 etc.

I double checked this Al and I have it set as the parent option .I even reran Autobouquets and it gave the same result,Sky Atlantic channel number 9 and Sky Atlantic+1 channel number 61.
All other channels were beside their parent.
Its only a minor thing,not really an issue,I just said I'd mention it.

I cant seem to find 4seven either ,is it missing ?

As I have said these are just small issues ,the image on the whole is superb ,a feat of engineering.

Unless your fellow Paddies decide to wade in and start a punch up on this, please let us have YOUR preferred listings and ordering for the first couple of dozen channels in Entertainment, yeah? This info is what is basically delaying the first online update...

But WHICH area Channel 4 do you prefer? Check the bottom end of rdmap.dat for the choices please, and report back.

We're also doing a bit of a tidy up for NI and Scotland and Wales, so they get to see English ITV and ITV +1 if they wish. Feedback from users in these regions would more more than welcome too, like WHICH regional ITV - London, or somewhere else? We propose sticking these above ITV2 in the listings, as this seems to be a logical position

The channel order I prefer myself is the Irish terrestrial channels followed by the UK terrestrial channels,then the pay tv channels.
This way the most popular channels are at the start .

RTE1,RTE2,TV3,TG4,BBC1,BBC2,BBc3,BBC4,ITV1,ITV1+1,ITV2,ITV2+1,ITV3,ITV3+1,ITV4,ITV4+1,Channel 4,Channel 4+1,E4,E4+1,More4,More4+1,4Seven,Channel 5,Channel 5+1,5*,5*+1,5 USA,5 USA+1,3e,Sky 1,then the rest of the Sky channels .

Its only my preference and hopefully some other Irish posters will chip in with their ideas.

As regards Channel 4 ,I guess Channel 4 London is fine.rool:

Hey guys just uploaded this image to my box last night and all looks good - thanks! One question - is there a way to have the bouquets in alphabetical order as the 14.5 image. After running the auto bouquet setup it is not in alphabetic order within each catagory.
