Jailbreak Thread

Team Xecuter are now making a Minumus AVRUSB, availible fro modtraders. Around £26

ordered this morning, on pre-order so not sure when they will be delivered, hopefully within a month

found the data sheet on the chip on infectus programmer if sombody could take alook it is a silabs f327 usb mcu

regarding the injectus programmer, i read on another forum if you search google that its just a usb converter and cannot be programmed.....but if i remember rightly, you do have to programme the injectus module in order to flash the wii chip.....correct me if im wrong......this was the first thing i looked at as its sitting here on my desk and has never been used lol.....

It's a USB mcu. (USB JTAG)
It must be able to be programmed when I downloaded the latest software from infectus it wanted to update the programmer .

I was just trying to find something I already had.

if you are using the USB SPI flasher it needs to be re-programmed, there may be a bootloader on your PIC... if not you need to either buy a programmer or build 1, u can buy an ART2003 programmer easy enough google it you will find it ..

ok, I have built my test unit. works perfectly.

I just need some buttons for the board so it can re-enter DFU mode.

I will sell 20 first come first serve to digital worldz users for £29.99 including recorded postage.

The rest are going on ebay marked up higher... supply vs demand im afraid.

They will be shipping monday or tuesday (I will build them without the buttons and buttons will arrive mon/tues)

Monday/tuesday this week. Just missing the buttons you need to hold down to reenter programming mode. I had to wait till the boards arrived to confirm the side and type i needed. I will make up the boards over the weekend, then fit the buttons and ship mon/tues.

Nice work Bad Ad84.

If I were you I'd put them ALL on eBay for as you already know you'll get full price for them easily. :)

I'm not so sure about trying to sell them to DW'ers for £30 though. I've just bought a Bumble B USB V2 for £13 including postage, it's a ATMega32U2 (runs AT90USB162 hex) breakout board, has a bootloader, 16mhz crystal and a mini usb b socket.

Ps2chipper has reworked (simplified) the board and is claiming he will retail the new boards for $5 plus postage.

figured may as well put the offer out there, rather than someone from DW buying them on ebay from me when ill give a discount.

Already know ive sold like 5 here as it stands.

And yeah, i see no issue with selling them on ebay - expecting them to fly out.

I dont think anyone will sell the boards populated for $5 tho and SMD soldering isnt for everyone.... probably wont be for me anymore after doing 100 by hand lol.

If they dont have the chips now, they wont be getting them until 2011 most likely.

They are out of stock EVERYWHERE, I have tried to get more since with all my china factorys i use (this isnt the only thing i make) and no one has them.

Anyway, I dont want to sound like im trying to justify my price, as I dont really need too (as we both know, they will shoot out on ebay), so perhaps we should end it here :)

well my names down for 1 anyway as sick of the kid nicking my phone to do it lol

Given up making my own.

I have enough for 10 and have etched boards for them all and have all the smd parts.

Issue is my iron is to big even with the smallest tip i can get for it.
CBA to buy a new one.

I might just sell all the parts as a job lot, it just needs the soldering done :(

Waste of a day.

You dont really need a small iron/tip.

you dont try to solder the legs separately... drag soldering is what you need to learn :)

use a flat headed soldering iron with flux etc far better.. DJJamma if you fancy making me some pcbs give me a pm please!

witchy, ps2chiper isnt going to be selling them at that price.. i think its more around 18usd, and i dont think he has any left to sell and he hasnt even made them yet..

I wonder if one of those serial to USB adapters could be moddified. :err:

I've got this...Welcome to Prolific

It has a PL2303 chipset and a 12Mhz xtal, I wonder if the existing firmware could be deleted and PSgroove installed.

When I plug it into my PS3 it detects it as an unknown USB device, with the correct firmware in there it would work, I'm sure of it.

I got mine for a tenner last year from Maplins. I think I'll pop over to one of the PSX sites and ask the gurus.

lol
