I'm not capped and I'm with Virgin media. Oh and one exciting thing about it, is the fact they are looking to up the download speed to 50MB, Costing roughly about 30-40 a month.
Its on there web site for anyone wanting more info ( not sure if you can post links ) roud:
I'm with UKonline. They use the easynet service which Sky use. They don't traffic shape at all. My computer is on 24/7 and have downloaded / uploaded about 7tb in the year or so that I have been with them without any complaints.
if your running a "business" you may.7Tbytes ????????
Why ??????
Seriously, What exactly do you need today thats not going to be there tomorrow ???
7Tbytes is nearly 2000 movies in DVD quality. No one can posibly need that amount of stuff.
be24 here and getting 15.5meg download speed .
no capping no nowt just pure connection 24/7
But if people start abusing the connections then they too will be forced to take measures just like the other ISP's.
There's just no real reason why most people need to constantly download such huge amounts of information continuously.
People need to realise that bandwidth costs money and if you use a connection to the point that an ISP is no longer making money out of you then the ISP is bound to act.
I'm on virgin. Now I know why torrents are slow. I thought that was just how they are. I don't have a bt line so I think I'm stuck. btw is sopcast etc p2p?
Bandwidth these days is as cheap as chips. ISP's can cope with small loses due to heavy users, if not then they would'nt still be in buisness would they?
