I was debating whether to release this or not, there's so many good images out now. Anyway, here is Beta5, it's squashfs this time, pretty basic, I've left the games in and added the UK Mods, Weather plugin and 4 camd's but not much else.

The 1x is untested, so would appreciate some early feedback

Lincsat Beta 5 Squashfs image

- Built from CVS of 29/08/07
- Menu Personalisation, default PIN is 0000
- AIW Menu version 1.5
- 4 Camd's installed
- UK Zapit for Fast Scanning
- Built-in option for NETID on Scan Menu, Location setting in Blue Button Menu
- Change Stream Information to 'Cable' instead of 'Satellite'
- UK Profile (Gives correct UK time)
- UK Clock Fonts
- Cables.xml contains 6952, 6887 and Bruteforce
- Scan.conf defaults to 'Sym6887' instead of 'Kabel Deutschland'
- Change 'Neu Sender' to 'New Channels'
- Change 'Alle Kanal' to 'Unsorted'
- Language setting defaults to English as opposed to German
- Reduced flash options
- Virgin Media Colour Scheme in the themes options
- Default IP of 192.168.0.125

Been running a good few hrs now and solid, nice personalisation menu.

Nice looking image mate running solid on gbox and ucode 0014 in Dublin except for a couple of the usual suspect channels i.e Setanta1&2 and More4+1,
Normally put the irish cable files on to sort this problem but it wont let me delete the one thats on there,is that because its a squashfs image?

The Cables.xml is in the squashfs part, does it work if you FTP your service files onto the box - send me the Irish cable files and I'll see if I can integrate them

Had this on for a day now it seems flawless . but i havent really played.

Great image mate, i like this one waaaay better than any others out there

been using commando 8.2 and sportster 08 but this for some reason is working much better than them two put together,could be just my box but this image has certainly made my life easier,i'm able to browse the bouquets faster, fast channel change (faster than sportster on my box) and have to say that i have not really seen any loss in picture quality compared to latest spotster, whether i'd keep losing EPG with this one like the others i'd have to wait and see but a job very well done Lincast, thank you for sharing such a quality image

Hi,

Will give this image a whirl this evening, the current Blade image for me gives the odd loss of picture & chirping regardless of which cam & ucode I use, but it usually sorts itself after 5sec.

I like this image ,had a bit of trouble with Blade 2 which was gr8 but setanta & rangers & celtic tv kept freezing.This image no freezing i Glasgow area

Been running perfectly now on my nokia 2x for over 24hrs. Even works with my xbox which the newer images lately have not been working 100% with. So i`m happy I have an up-to-date image with 100% functionality for me.

I don't have an IDE so have never really looked hard at this - I do enable IDE support in the build configure, but have never looked any further into it.

Thanks for releasing mate. Had it on for 2 days now its been rock solid . I like the all in one menu. I'll have a play and let you know if there is any probs.

This one is PERFECT!

The hunt for a good image for my dbox2 was becoming more like a perfect marriage...bloody hard to find.... lol

and i'm glad that mine has found its perfect partner

never lost epg unlike all the other latest and preferred images out there

ok thanks just seen lots of post about people wanting hdd support and i have the ide adaptor already built into mine so im looking for a nice image to let me use the hdd

With thanks to elle1998 for the info:

most new images support ide it is on by default.
you telnet in and
cd sbin
ls
look for hddinit.sh or something similar (haven't got a dbox anymore) and run that to set the drive up.
the images should find the hdd after that.

Just had a look on my image and that file is called init_hdd.sh - so looks like my image will support HDD

I have had problems trying to get the IDE HD to work wilth so many images! Commando Kept freezing the recording, JTG would crash the box when changing channels every 20 mins.... and sportster wasn't very friendly either.

Tried this Image and I have to say Im impressed.

All I did was telnet into the box and went to \sbin\init_hdd.sh and it did its thing and now I have glitch free recording!

This image also benefits from a user friendly recording / playback interface and when you are recording the display on the box changes to a progressive bar that resets every min, impressive and better then the boring old flashing time that indicated recording on other images.

The only bug I have found (which is not a major) is that you can change cams from blue button Advanced menu and from the Dbox/All-in-Wonder Menu. ALso the bluebutton/Advanced/Emusettings/Emu Versions Doesnt Work.

Just edit the shellexec.conf file to get rid of the bits refering to changing cams etc!
