Washing Machine & Separate Dryer

Started a new thread as ive managed to persuade the misses into getting two separate units.

While popping out for a while, I saw currys digital on route back home so I decided to have a look at some washer dryers.
On display and in operation they had the LG F1495bd -

It looked amazing, was a massive 12kg load (we need around 9-10kg max load), had fantastic options, was very quiet and had a standard 2 year guarantee on it.

Say we were to up our budget to around £1k to £1200, what would be the best washing machine and separate dryer to puchase?

Any specific models you recommend?

I really liked the look of the LG F1495KDS TrueSteam™ Washing Machine and Samsung WF1124XAC ecobubble™ VRT Washing Machine, maybe for the wrong reasons though, as I like the technology incorporated into it

Something simple is all you want, its a washing machine. The more bells and whitsles the more chance of failure.
