Manchester United thread

Looks like were still in the hunt for Douglas Costa would love to see him at United also a dream signing would be Kun (Sergio) Aguero!

United to offer instalment deal to lure Gremio's Costa - Transfers, Football - The Independent

doesnt look like we'll be getting sergio aguero as fergie just stated he wont be spending any more money this transfer window. I'm not happy about the comment tights bastards just got £80m for ronaldo spent no more than £16m on valencia (well overpriced), got owen on a free (yet again tight bastards), and obertan cant see him costing us over £10m. So my question is do they expect us to lose 2 world class players and replace them with 3 players that are no where near ronaldo's standard put together. To make matters even worse for me he puts that number 7 shirt on owen what a complete joke this is becoming

he didnt really say there will be NO more transfers he said anything can happen

i'll have to listen to it again but i hope he does at least try make 1 or 2 more signings. We are gonna need a team that will get the goals ronaldo and tevez got last season

i think f he went and said 'yes we are looking for another stirker and midfielder' for example, then clubs would autonatically add on another £5-6m to the players value. Clearly the club dont wanna be held to ransom especially with the £80m still still left over. I think we may still be in for douglas costa, a young striker who wouldnt mind being on the bench and possibly a holding midfielder who wouldnt mind playing 2nd fiddle to hargreaves when fit... I think any more signings though would be after the team return from pre-season in the far east and germany...

i've heard him say this before then suddenly a couple of new players emerge.last year tosic and another(sorry can't remember his name) arrived out the blue, so lets wait and see:banana:

i never really thought about it like that if we announce anything the price will fly up we have the money but i would rather see it spent properly instead of just being shot about cos teams know we got it. I hope he can bring in another winger just in case and an exprienced striker in case berba doesnt start playing well for us

im pretty certain hes jus sayin that so it stops clubs from bumping up prices of players united are linked wit and also stop any potential competition from europe's top clubs

Andrew Cole had a six-year spell at United and a year at City. “Where do you go if you leave United?” he said. “The only way is down.”

Take note TEVEZ

I fooking hate this litte fooking prick Tevez

Carlos Tevez was unveiled as a Manchester City player this afternoon with crowds of City fans gathering to see. Tevez claimed the reason why he left United was because the manager didn’t speak to him for two years and never made him feel wanted.

“I was there for two years and Sir Alex never called or sent any text messages in that time,” said Tevez today. “The only time he talked to me was after a match against Roma to discuss a situation about going to play for Argentina. It doesn’t seem that this is the way to treat a player in two years at the club. It doesn’t seem there is a line of communication.”

Translation: United wouldn’t pay me £150,000 a week, City would.

It is truly embarrassing that we liked this guy. What a prick. It’s a shame he’s exposing himself as a complete liar, given what he has said about Sir Alex Ferguson in the past…

April 2nd 2009: “From the moment I arrived, he has treated me with respect as a person. His greatest quality is that, for him, there are no star players - everyone is equal, whether they cost many millions or are a young player who hasn’t played many times for the team. When I see him work he reminds me of Carlos Bianchi, who was my coach at Boca Juniors in Argentina. Both have had a big influence on my career, and both know how to treat people.“

January 4th 2009: “We have not started talks with Manchester United yet, though I am keen to stay. Sir Alex Ferguson has told me he wants me to remain a United player and that is certainly my desire too. My contract ends in the summer and we have agreed to sit down at the end of the season and discuss a new contract, nothing I have heard from the club suggests it will be otherwise. There is simply no reason to sit down now. I have a great relationship with Sir Alex and I hope that will continue long into the future.“

December 16th 2008: “We have been talking about it and everything is very advanced, as a consequence I think it will be sorted soon. I feel respected by my team-mates and by the staff.”

guys why all the hate for Carlos Tevez??
its like he is a Man Utd player and us fans are saying he is world class... but when he leaves he suddenly has average ability but runs his head off...

no he IS totally world class and was a big factor to the trophies we won over the last two years... yea he left and his main motivation may have been money or what not but give the guy some respect...

the only thing i was annoyed about was that he said he didnt play much and also he went to city.. but i would have prefered that to Liverpool..
but im sure he will get his first team place now.. he is by far City's best striker..

good luck to him... maybe city's fortune will bring at least a place in Europe next season :)

EDIT
Rossi is a top player... one that i followed since we signed him from Parma... i was soooooo disappointed to see him leave United..
but SAF said business is done... i just hope he means until we see a good signing here and there...

also Rodrigo Possebon is on a year loan at Braga... hopefully he comes back a more mature player.. he has great potential and i hope he makes it in out team :)
