Ok here goes. 2Tb ext WD Elements HDD went t**s up, so as it was still under warranty I raised an RMA and returned to WD, they then sent me an internal 3Tb drive (which I'm still disputing) as I used the ext drive to watch TV series thru on my media player. Basically it's still in the anti static bag unopened but just in case they don't play ball and I have to get an external enclosure of my own will I be able to format as NTFS thru my Win 7 Ultimate 64bit PC and see the whole 3 Tb or will I need to set up using GPT? I've read conflicting opinions so hopefully someone on here's done something similar.

Cheers

Setup via GPT. Then you choose NTFS. As you know, you don't quite get 3TB after.
I did mine via "Computer Management"..
Did you watch these TV series through you Monitor ? If So, then an External Enclosure will work fine. Though if you downloading these TV series via internet then an Internal is Better in my book. JMHO..If takeing the external elsewhere Then a 2.5" 2TB is Better.
