multiple texts

i have a samsung galaxy s3 and when i am sending gruop texts how can i stop it sending to every number in the one contact.
if one person has 3 numbers in contact they get a text to every number when i send in groups. i have tried making one a default but it still picks up other 2

Are they duplicate numbers or do the contacts have several different numbers that you need? If they're duplicate then make sure you've only got one of the display options ticked in settings.

I take it this is like when a contact has a work, home and other number ?

Don' know on samsung but on my Desire it was easier to setup a custom group rather then use contacts.

Alternatively I did look at a couple of play store which handle group texting quite well.

Its contacts that have more than one number in ie home , work ,mobile, I used to use group sms on Iphone which did the job but on the samsung you can put contacts into groups, but it still ticks all numbers in the one contact. I might have a look and see if i can get the app group sms for andriod as it allowed you to make one number in the contatc a main one so it would only send a text to that
there is 50 people in one of my groups so will have another go at solving this thanks guys
