V.M BB upgrades

just so you know if you receive an email from vm saying your due a free upgrade on your bb and you click the link which says they will contact you in 48 hours and get no reply phone them straight away
your free upgrade will be done in secs
just done mine gone from 60 to 100 meg and it went though while i was on the phone to them
mods/ admin not sure where to put this but move if needed

last time i had upgrade they charged me lol ,im down to 50mg now from 150meg big ,will see if i can get back to 100 from free here goes.

i never had to phone them i just logged into my account and it was an ad right at the top saying i had a free upgrade from 60 to 100, few clicks it was done, next morning i ran a speed test and it had been upgraded.

I just logged into my account, all it says at the top is:

“You've been supercharged! You're now on our super speedy, up to 50Mb broadband.”

How much do you pay for that, if you don’t mind me asking?

Is that some sort of deal? Im paying almost double for 152mbps was thinking of downgrading because they increased the price this month.

ring them up and say you cant afford the price increase (as long as you are out of contract) and they will give you a better deal ... they did with me anyways

im paying £19.50 for 50Meg....dont like this throttling though even though idont download a lot, come 9pm in the evening it slows down ..gonna leave in july 2015 my contract ends then..

They don’t want to lose you so it’s the same as playing poker with these people;

You phone them and say you want to downgrade or leave, they offer you a better deal.

The better at bluffing you are the better the deal you get.

I had a call today from an 0800 number today and it turned out to be VM upgrade team trying to get me to take out TIVO. Did it take them up on the offer as it was just M pack and a £1 off my monthly bill but they said I was out of contract and it would just be rolling deal.

BRILLIANT!

Rang up VM CS told I want to cancel as I am out of contract got £10.38 per month knocked off my bill so now paying £29.49 for 152Mbps BB and M telephone which I never use.

RESULT!
