Hiya mate, I've just ordered a meelo+ se and just wanted to check if your images work on it?

From what I've read I think original images work but I'd feel safer with a patched version :)

I have read that Sunray images do work on the Meelo SE.

Whats the best way to setup EPG with this image? Thanks

For $ky UK, normally use OpenTV option within CrossEPG.
For Virgin Cable, normally use EPGRefresh available from within plugin feeds.
Not to sure about others but most others are using xmltv or something similar.

Thanks for replying. I used EPG Import is that wrong?

Do you use $ky TV, Virgin, Terresterial, a combination of several or other platforms?

At the moment for just $ly TV, I would disable the xmltv you use for downloading epg and go for OpenTV. OpenTV is epg data that sly themselves use (as far as i've read anyhow).

Going by memory here as i'm not in front of my box but I think menu options are something like:-

Select OpenTV as EPG providers, Select Sky UK OpenTV (28.2), select enable (Green button), then Download (Yellow button).

Box arrived today :) lets see how good it is compared to my original vu+ duo

Boom, all done and working like a charm. Just a couple of questions though:

1. Can I run the vix updates as usual?
2. Where is kodi? I cannot find it in the plugins menu?

I would not run the update on a clone.

You need to install Kodi from the plugin menu.

Menu-plugin-green button.

Ah, found it vuplus-kodi. Cheers mate.

Re updates, it was setup to download in the background? I've disabled it now so as not to take the risk

Driver in these images are write protected and the Sunray clone still take original images. Id still advice against updates though as you can never be sure when things will change.

I have now tried an install openvix but FTP is disabled by default and cannot be started.

any idea ????
