Wirelss drop off

Sorry posted in the wrong part before

Laptop has suddenly dropped its connection from 10 to around 1 meg.

Did speed test wifi and hardwired, hardwire brings it back up.

Changed to channel 11 as most of the neigbours are on 6.

Tested kids laptop and it works fine, also borrowed a external wifi and we are back up to 10megs.

So assume this is a problem with the wifi on the laptop Dell Inspiron 1545. Virgin Netgear router.

Should I replace the wifi card, or as it still picks up is there something else I should look at before forking out.

Any help much appreciate.

Have you ran any updates recently? Could it be a driver issue?

What operating system are you running?

There might be an option to roll the driver back.

also may be worth trying to update the driver for your wireless. if your up to date even reinstalling the driver may help. as above its the first thing i would play with. not sure if it is still the case but vista used to give me all sorts of crap with wirless drivers, thats part of the reason i stopped useing it.
