hi everybody just set up wireless but router keeps going off every 2 mins new to this any help appreciated

Can you explain this a bit more...powering off, losing internet connection, losing PC connection?

loosing connection i have to take power out of router then plug it in again then it will work for a wee while

It might be a defective router...take it back to the shop and get another one if you can!

Or run through the installation procedure again.

after 2nd router 4 hours later phoned tech line and he told me software was gubbed on all those routers he said change to another model pain in the ****

what make model of router was it, as it sounds like one DW members should avoid...

I had a few problems with my D-Link router when I got it but after a firmware upgrade and changed a few setting on advice of product support it has been no further probs..
